Miami Industrial Trucks, Inc. Statement on Essential/Critical Infrastructure Designation

First, Miami Industrial Trucks (MIT) hopes that each of you are safe and staying calm while our Country fights the battle against Covid-19/Coronavirus. None of us expected it to impact our daily lives at the level that is currently occurring.

Secondly, we are living in challenging times that will pass and the normal course of business will return. Covid-19/Coronavirus has upended business as we know it today, but it will be defeated. MIT has received several calls from our customers, who remain open during the Stay at Home Order issued by Governor DeWine from Monday, March 23, 2020, 11:59 PM through Monday, April 6, 2020, 11:59 PM. These businesses are defined as Essential/Critical by The Department of Homeland Security Cyber & Infrastructure (CISA) Guidance released on March 19, 2020. The powered industrial forklift businesses that support these Essential/Critical Infrastructure designated industries are also Essential/Critical. The use of forklifts and material handling equipment are integral to virtually every manufacture and supply chain that remains open.

Thirdly, MIT will remain open to ensure that the Essential/Critical manufacturing and supply chains remain viable and meets the Essential/Critical needs of our communities/nation. Please let us know (via email reply or phone call), if you need anything to support your company and if MIT will be granted access to provide our Essential/Critical services? We are here to serve you!

Finally, MIT will be following the recommendations from President Trump, to limit all interactions to less than 10 people, follow Social Distancing of 6’ft, utilizing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), where needed, sanitizing our hands regularly and sneezing/coughing in the proper way to minimize the spread of this virus.

In this together,

Mark G. Jones
