Summary
Miami Industrial Trucks, Inc. (MIT) is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Fleet Coordinator to join our corporate office in Fleet Management and Leasing. The ideal candidate is organized, has strong administrative skills, and can prioritize tasks effectively. The Fleet Coordinator manages and oversees the company’s leased forklifts for the customer accounts. This role will work closely with the Corporate Fleet Manager and the sales team to support customer retention, fleet operations, and reporting.
Responsibilites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management Reporting & Customer Support:
- Assist Account Managers by generating fleet management reports that promote customer cost and utilization efficiency.
- Run service histories, create utilization reports, and inform customers on how to use fleet data for decision-making regarding lease expirations or replacements.
- Customer Meeting Coordination:
- Schedule and manage the “MIT Focus Meeting” process, ensuring advance notice and proper stakeholder attendance.
- Administrative Fleet Coordination Assistance:
- Inspect and check-in off-lease equipment, document any accidental damages, and prepare itemized damage quotes.
- Assist with lease management throughout the life cycle of the equipment, providing support to team members when necessary.
- Manage relationships with outside vendors for long-term rental fleets, ensuring proper service and utilization tracking.
- Data Management:
- Maintained and updated databases to track customer fleet spending, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Owns the overtime program.
- Special Projects:
- Collaborate with the Account Managers and Sales Team on special projects, including customer surveys to assess current and future fleet needs. Handle other special projects as directed by the President, VP of Sales, and Corporate Fleet Manager.
Qualifications
- 2 years relevant administrative experience (or equivalent college experience).
- Basic mechanical (such as automotive) background.
- Strong with Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Must be certified or willing to become certified in the safe operation of a lift truck.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional travel to warehouses and manufacturing facilities
