We are looking for a full-time Battery Service Mechanic in the Dayton, OH location.  This person must be a self-starter, have a positive attitude and be a team player.

Battery Service Mechanics responds to breakdown service calls for needed repairs and performs scheduled routine maintenance at various customer locations on customer’s industrial battery and charger equipment. The primary goal is to troubleshoot, repair and maintain units at the customer’s location when possible.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain, diagnose, service and support specific batteries and equipment. 12V, 24V, 36V, 48V, 80V, Lithium Ion, Lead Acid.
  • Pick up and deliver batteries and chargers, install new and used batteries, chargers and related equipment.
  • Travel to customer site, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair customer’s battery equipment in accordance with established guidelines and procedures per Hawker and competitors equipment, maintaining positive customer relations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment according to schedule, established procedures and cost guidelines at customer’s facility.
  • Accurately and legibly complete paperwork such as workorders, time cards, etc. and turn in on a timely basis
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude.
  • Keep service vehicle clean and stocked with parts supplies; own the tools needed to perform on a daily basis
  • Comply with all quality and safety policies with our company guidelines
  • Complete required training by manufacturer standards

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or experience working on forklifts, industrial, automotive, farm equipment, or other types of heavy equipment. Any electrical or mechanical experience is preferrable.
  • Dependable and timely

  • Organized and self-motivated
  • Have basic computer skills.
  • Must maintain a good driving record
