Executive Team
George Malacos
George Malacos joined Miami Industrial Trucks, Inc. (MIT) in 1976. He started as the Sales Manager and worked his way up the organization to become V.P./GM in 1978. In 1982 George and a partner bought MIT from the founder Warren Dueber. Over the past 43 years George has been very instrumental in guiding MIT in becoming one of the top forklift/material handling companies of its size in North America.
He has published several industry articles and has been very active in the Miami Valley community outside of his work. George credits MIT’s continued success to a quality and highly technically competent workforce, providing customers with “world class products” and beyond world class service”’ while adhering to a strong set of moral and ethical values.
George holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Michigan University in Business. He lives with his wife Moni in Centerville, Ohio. His daughter Amy Marshall is the Corporate Human Resource Manager.
Mark Jones
Mark is President/CEO at Miami Industrial Trucks (MIT). Mark started his career at MIT in 1997, where he joined our team as Vice President of Finance. In 2001, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer. In 2004, he was appointed the 3rd President in MIT’s history. Mark provides the overall strategic direction for MIT, focusing on our long-term strategy built on data-driven decision making, coaching on living our guided values, empowerment of our people in providing “Beyond World Class Service” and implementation of MIT’s industry leading Satisfaction Guarantee. He believes that MIT’s future is extremely bright due to having the best/highly trained people on our team and representing the finest OEM’s in the material handling industry.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Administration Degree in Accounting/Finance from Wright State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is family man and loves spending time with his wife and children. Mark is very active in his local church serving in various areas. He enjoys playing golf, reading and traveling.
Tony Argue
Tony is Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Miami Industrial Trucks (MIT). Tony started his career at MIT in September of 1995, where he started off in Product Support / Sales. After various promotions, he was appointed Vice President in 2008. Tony is responsible for all sales and marketing functions for MIT. His focus is on development of people and strategy to go to market.
Tony started his business career in 1993 with Shumsky Enterprises in Dayton, OH in sales.
Tony holds a Bachelor of Administration Degree in Management with a minor in Marketing from the University of Kentucky, yes he bleeds BLUE! Tony loves spending time with his wife and two children. He is very active in the community where he serves on a number of boards and foundations in the Dayton area. Tony coaches youth sports and use to coach select and high school soccer. He enjoys playing golf, watching sports, reading, traveling and watching movies.
Jeff Jaske
Jeff started his career at Miami Industrial Trucks (MIT) in October of 2022 bringing with him twenty-seven years of combined CFO and Controller experience in private companies within the distribution and service industries. In addition, his first three years after college were spent in public accounting in the audit division of former, global “Big 6” firm, Arthur Andersen. As part of MIT’s executive management team, Jeff’s responsibilities include; directing the finance and accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, managing the company’s cash flows, and maintaining controls to protect all company assets. As CFO, Jeff plays a vital role in the company’s strategic initiatives ensuring revenues are maximized and expenses remain in check, without sacrificing customer, vendor, or employee satisfaction.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting/Finance from Wright State University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Ohio. Jeff loves spending time with his wife, two daughters, and family dog in his hometown of Springboro. When not involved in local community activities, like Springboro High School Marching Band Boosters and volunteering within his neighborhood HOA, in his free time, Jeff also enjoys playing golf and tennis with his daughters, watching football and movies, attending live concerts and Wright State basketball games, and traveling with family.
Chris Wechta
Christopher is General Manager of MIT North. Chris started his career at MIT in May of 2015, where he started off as an intern to help grow aftermarket business. From there he was sent on site to a major account to work as a service coordinator and later promoted to Director of Aftermarket Support to manage two others. As General Manager of MIT North, Chris is now responsible for making sure we continue to push forward in becoming the “Leading value-added material handling distributor” at our Toledo and Findlay locations.
Chris attended The University of Akron where he earned a degree in Marketing Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship. In his free time he enjoys fishing, camping, attending Notre Dame Football games, and playing video games.
Beth Price
Beth is the Branch Manager of our Troy Facility. Beth started her career at MIT in 1994 and has held many positions throughout the company such as Sales Coordinator, Rental/Transport Manager and Operations Manager. The Troy Branch opened in 2000 and is focused on providing sales, service and rental for aerial, cleaning, dock/door, & compactor/baler as well as customer satisfaction. Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Wright State University. Beth lives in Arcanum and loves spending time with her husband and daughter. She enjoys reading and watching movies.
Jim Shriner
Jim Shriner joined Miami Industrial Trucks (MIT) in October of 2013 as Toledo’s Service Supervisor. The next year he was promoted to Toledo Operations Manager, in 2016 Jim then became Toledo’s Branch Manager. In March 2020 Jim was added to the executive management team to help assist with the leadership of the company. Jim has been responsible in overseeing all Toledo Branch operations and functions of the Branch, including daily operations, strategic planning, sales assistance, and financial forecasting.
In January of 2020 Jim was instrumental in finding, securing, the installing of MIT’s new Toledo Branch location. The new location provided Toledo with full shop service, a larger parts department, new and used equipment, operator safety training, and shipping and receiving capabilities. It’s MIT Toledo’s first full-service dealership that has the capabilities to serve all customers in the Northwest Ohio and surrounding areas.
Jim enjoys time with his family, live music events, and following his very talented musical family show to show. Jim also enjoys sporting events, car shows, walking, movies/series, and traveling to warm weather locations.
